Mitchell Zuckoff approached me some months ago asking if he could consult on his forthcoming book, Fall and Rise The Story of 9/11. It was my great pleasure to assist and even greater pleasure to receive a complementary copy.
If you are a historian, researcher, or writer working on events of 9/11 then this book belongs on your bookshelf. It is uniquely written to capture the very personal accounts of many who were participants in an infamous day in history.
The book is a tough, emotional read at times, but a vital and necessary addition to the compendium of research material available about 9/11. Given its very nature, this book could not have been written in the immediate aftermath. It is a work that deserves the longer reach of history. Mitchell Zuckoff has made that reach.

NARA has added an invaluable research aid for FAA 9/11 records. Material is organized in typical NARA style, 11 boxes, with multiple folders in each box. For example, IAD (Dulles) files are contained in folders in box 11.

This site was down for several weeks because of a server failure. That problem has been overcome and we are up and running again. The election has come and gone. Trump is President. His path to victory was a business path, hostile takeover. Watch out world.
There is a seventh lesson learned from 9-11 that I will address, soon. It is the need for objective, fact-finding, criteria. Absent that, the Bush administration was never able to construct its own narrative of events on September 11, 2001. Critical underlying facts had been misinterpreted and institutionalized.
