It is confusing; that is why I rely on the primary sources where/when possible–the radar and the audio files. Everything else, including the logs of the day, is derived from the primary source information. I took the time to write the Scott Trilogy to demonstrate the problem one knowledgeable researcher had in reporting on the events of the day. Thank you for your comment and interest.
